A water leak was detected early in the morning on Tuesday, 22 April 2025 in the Finnish Student Health Service’s (FSHS’s) service unit in Töölö, Helsinki. The leak was caused by a device breakage on the third floor of the building. As a result, there was no power on the lower floors of the service unit on Tuesday, and some oral health appointments and all imaging appointments had to be postponed.
The water leak was immediately controlled, but the affected areas will still have to dry out. FSHS services at the Töölö unit will now continue as normal. Where necessary, appointments may be moved to other parts of the building.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience the leak may have caused our clients. We’ve contacted those clients whose appointments were affected by the leak”, says Regional Manager Juha Tiainen.
The property, where the FSHS is a tenant, is owned by Ylioppilasterveys ry.
